Baroque gallery

Collections of paintings occupied a central role in royal residences during the baroque period. This tradition is  kept alive by the Baroque Gallery in the Residential Palace of Ludwigsburg. The Baroque Gallery displays selected works from the collections of the Stuttgart state gallery. These works include, in particular, paintings by German and Italian artists from the 17th an 18th centuries.
