Montbeliard, France
The towns Montbéliard and Ludwigsburg have been closely connected for over 600 years thanks to a marriage between the two families. Today, Montbéliard is a modern industrial town linked closely with the company Peugeot, with an attractive historical town centre at the foot of the Dukes of Württemberg's castle.

Montbéliard is also known for the buildings constructed by the renaissance builder Heinrich Schickhardt which still play an important part in the town's image. One example of these buildings is the Martins church which was built between 1601 and 1607.
The country surrounding Montbeliard also has a lot to offer:
As a gateway to Burgundy with the nearby towns of Belfort and Besancon and the French Jura, it is also a popular holiday resort.
