Caerphilly County Borough, Wales, Great Britain
This county, which is situated to the north of Cardiff on 28,000 hectares, comprises several towns, Caerphilly being the largest. After most of the coal mines closed down, Caerphilly county developed leisure and business parks making it today a dynamic service centre with excellent recreational facilities.
Numerous historical and tourist attractions such as the Caerphilly palace, a palace built in the 13th century, or specially designed tours for hikers and cyclists with cheap accommodation make South Wales a popular holiday destination today.
