The Residential Palace

Built between 1704 an 1733 during the rule of Duke Eberhard Ludwig, the Residential Palace is one of the greatest German baroque palaces still around today: it has got 452 rooms spread over 28 buildings. It is called the "Swabian Versailles" and used to be the residence of the kings of Württemberg. Today, state receptions and cultural events are still held in the palace theatre and in the assembly room of the Residential Palace.

  • Summer Season (mid-March until mid-November): Monday to Friday at 1.30 pm, Saturday, Sunday and Official Holidays at 11 am, 1.30 pm, 3.15 pm
  • Winter Season (mid-November until mid-March): Monday to Sunday at 1.30 pm
  • duration of a guided tour: approx. 60 minutes
  • further times and languages on inquiry
  • Adults: 7,- Euro
  • Reduction: 3,50 Euro
  • Families: 17,50 Euro
  • Groups of 20 or more persons: 6,30 Euro per person
